Butt welding is a thermal fusion process used to join two thermoplastic components by heating their mating surfaces and pressing them together under controlled pressure.
Rather than relying on mechanical hardware, the fusion process creates a continuous molecular bond between the two parts. Once cooled, the joint becomes a seamless section of material rather than a connection point.
